Awesome morning out on the black pearl this morning. Snapper for the boys, kingi for the queen few kahawai in amongst it too! Great hospitality from Matt! Real down to earth and realistic. Highly recommend to anyone looking to do a fishing charter.

Been a couple of times - each time Matt went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Top notch gear, local knowledge, comfortable boat and gets you onto the fish super quick thanks to twin grunty outboards. Worth every penny.

Took some mates from overseas on an evening charter. Matt, the skipper, as well as being a great host, sure knows his stomping ground, as we came away with a good haul of snapper, which was what we were after.

  We had a great time fishing with Black Pearl Charters on Saturday, a couple of nice kings returned to the sea for next time, Matt is a great skipper and has an awesome boat, plenty of space and a comfortable ride, We will definitely be back, I would recommend this operator if you are looking for a great day on the water.   Another awesome evening out with Matt. As usual he was a great host, the gear is in top condition, boat is fast so gets you in the water quick as and he knows his stuff. fish weren't on the chew hard out but still came away with mixed bag of kahawai, snapper, trevelly, and a good gurnard so can't complain at that! All in all a awesome evening out on the pearl to finish the week off!

Put us on the biggest kings in nz! Have been on a few charters around the country and the black Pearl is at the top of our list to catch big fish! Cheers black pearl and skipper matt for the best fishing missions ever!

Did an awesome evening run with the boys last night and it was absolutely amazing and beautiful. Best charter any of us had been to in Wellington hands down! No over crowding, perfect size and space for 5 to comfortably fish and not just fishing in one single spot! We all went home with a decent amount of fish, was a good selection of Kahawai, Terakihi, Gurnard and Snapper. (There were a few sharks we had to get off the lines but it was great entertainment!) Matt is awesome and friendly, offered us a cuppa / drinks & snacks which we definitely weren't used to on other charters. We are all still buzzing from the trip and planning more to come. Definitely give Matt a call and plan your next charter with him, great value for money and a bloody good bloke!
