  Fantastic day out on the Black Pearl with a group of great mates. The skipper Matt runs a well oiled operation with great local knowledge of several fishing spots with pretty much most target species getting dragged up ... our day out was finished perfectly with the “ catch and release “ of an absolute monster snapper which will be talked about for years to come! Definitely going again !

Over the last few years have been out with Matt at least 10 times. Had some incredible days and even the hard days fishing by Matt's standards outshine some of the other charters I've been on.

Took some mates from overseas on an evening charter. Matt, the skipper, as well as being a great host, sure knows his stomping ground, as we came away with a good haul of snapper, which was what we were after.

Did an awesome evening run with the boys last night and it was absolutely amazing and beautiful. Best charter any of us had been to in Wellington hands down! No over crowding, perfect size and space for 5 to comfortably fish and not just fishing in one single spot! We all went home with a decent amount of fish, was a good selection of Kahawai, Terakihi, Gurnard and Snapper. (There were a few sharks we had to get off the lines but it was great entertainment!) Matt is awesome and friendly, offered us a cuppa / drinks & snacks which we definitely weren't used to on other charters. We are all still buzzing from the trip and planning more to come. Definitely give Matt a call and plan your next charter with him, great value for money and a bloody good bloke!

  We had another awesome trip with Matt Dobson, he is friendly and has a very clean and tidy vessel, its a beast of a boat really. The fishing was a day of surprises starting with the weather followed by a mixed bag with Snapper, Gurnard, Trevally, Tarakihi, Kahawai all coming aboard... Cheers Matt boys were stoked....
